Story:
Finishing Groups from Villages
Originally TTC had only one well trained seamstresses in Chiang Mai (Chiang Mai Finishing Group). This group is responsible for assembling the unfinished pieces of variety crafts made by village producer groups of seven tribes into Finished Products which TTC sell at the Chiang Mai shop, in domestic markets and in oversea markets.
In 2005 three seamstress groups were trained in three villages namely, Goshen, Mae Muang Noi, and Mae Sariang to upgrade the production capacity of Thai Tribal Crafts. Therefore, we now have four groups of trained seamstresses capable of making quality products both for domestic and overseas markets.A couple of thousands items that TTC is carrying are assembled by these producer groups.
