Lisu Slippers
These comfortable unique slippers, for children and adults, are products from the range offered by Thai tribal Crafts, a self-help marketing agency established in 1973 with the main goal to provide opportunities for improving the quality of life of the tribal people in Northern Thailand.
The patterns of these slippers have been crafted in the Lisu tribal community. The Lisu have about 28,000 members living in Thailand. They make vibrant colored patchwork cloth items and the Lisu outfits are decorated with bands of many bright colours. These slippers exist in various sizes and colours, for babies, children and adults, but the pattern used is always the traditional one, also used to decorate the Lisu outfits.
You will also find in our range a shoe bag with the same Lisu pattern, useful to carry your slippers wherever you go. After the production of the traditional pattern in the village, raw materials are given to women in Chiang Mai who assemble the cloths and materials and finish the products. This process of production with skilled and trained men and women at each step ensures high-quality products.
